Some interesting courses that I have just completed
I have recently completed a couple of really interesting Business Analysis courses by Jeremy Aschenbrenner on Udemy.
The courses covered the fundamentals of business analysis and went into solid depth on modelling techniques. For me it was partly revision and partly filling in gaps — a useful exercise regardless of your experience level.
What the courses covered
- Core business analysis concepts and the BA role
- Requirements elicitation techniques
- Process modelling and workflow diagrams
- Use case modelling
- Data modelling fundamentals
Why I found them valuable
Even as someone who has done a lot of analysis work in practice, going back to structured course material helps you codify things you do intuitively. It also surfaces techniques you might have stopped using or never fully explored.
Jeremy's teaching style is clear and methodical, and the courses are well-paced. If you're looking to either start out in business analysis or refresh your skills, I'd recommend them.
The courses are available on Udemy and are regularly discounted — worth keeping an eye out for a sale.
